Calling all mountain bikers!

We’re actively searching for mountain bikers to come join our family and share the wonderful terrain have been so privileged to ride. If you are a mountain biker, or if you know of any mountain bikers looking for an ideal environment to pursue cycling and academics with equal zeal please email me at hailep@lmc.edu

We are offering scholarships to highly motivated, multi-disciplined athletes.


We’re looking for mountain bikers looking to elevate their riding!

Lees-McRae is adjacent to Pisgah National Forest, with more than 500,000 acres of woods the mountain biking possibilities are endless.


ON CAMPUS is the mountain bike courses used in the 2007 and 2008 Collegiate National Championships. This includes a 4.5 mile cross country loop, two downhill tracks, dirt jumps, and a dual slalom course. One minute you can be eating in the cafeteria and two minutes later you can be riding some of the finest singletrack in the country.

Five minutes from campus is Beech Mountain, home of the 2011-2012 Gravity National Championships. In 2009 Beech Mountain Resort has a three year plan to become one of the premier bike parks in the United States.

    • Quite the opposite, we’re thriving; but like any sports team there is an ebb and flow in the numbers. We have more talented road riders than ever. Right now we’re especially looking for mountain bikers.
